Save notes from others
StackSweller lets you follow other Substack writers and save their notes as inspiration. This builds a personal swipe file without leaving the app.
Follow a writer
- Go to the Following page in the sidebar
- Click Add account
- Enter the Substack handle (e.g.
someone.substack.com) - Click Follow
StackSweller will start fetching recent notes from that writer.
Browse recent notes
On the Following page, click any writer to see their recent notes. You can scroll through their content and save anything that catches your eye.
Save a note
Click the Save button (bookmark icon) on any note from a writer you follow. The note is added to the Saved tab of your Notes page.
How to use saved notes
Saved notes are for reference only โ theyโre not published or scheduled on your Substack. Use them to:
- Study formats and structures that work well
- Get inspiration for your own topics
- Feed into AI generation as style references

When using AI generation, you can reference a saved noteโs style when writing your prompt to guide the output.
